Creature Planters
The GIY Bio Buddies kit comes with six mix-and-match molds that you can use to create Creature Planters! These molds were designed in Tinkercad and created by melting recycled milk-carton plastic and vacuuming the melty plastic around the 3D printed forms.

Recycled Containers
You don't need our Creature Planter molds to make fun mycelium containers and toys, you can use anything around you! This Recycled Container mycelium project uses containers that you already have. In the picture to the left, we used a sink strainer (front), the bottom of a recycled plastic water bottle (left), and half of a large Easter egg (right), and a chocolate tray (inside of egg on right). This is a great way to make fun mycelium shapes with what you have at home!

Custom Mycelium Figures
Similar to how we made the Creature Planters, you can design your own mycelium toy molds! This activity will engage you in CAD design to make a 3D print, and will teach you how to make a vacuum mold that you can press mycelium into. This Figure/Doll activity is for more advanced tinkerers, and it's a great way to integrate 3D printing with biomaterial explorations!

Mycelium Incubator
Want to speed up your mycelium's growth? You can with this incubator grown from mycelium. This is a project for advanced tinkerers that combines mycelium with circuitry and coding. You can use this incubator to keep your growing mycelium projects happy!
